Digital Graffiti 2023

[tentatively titled] I feel whole again is a projection piece made in residence at the 2023 Digital Graffiti Festival. Inspired by a walk with a dear friend, the work comprises of cyanotypes of snow and broken glass, with music by the brilliant Tanner Porter. As an experiment in impermanence, each aspect of the piece is derived from memories - cyanotypes being impressions left by the sun, writings memorializing a fleetingly joyful experience, and the piece itself lasting for only the nights it was seen by those present at the festival.

Paths of Empathy

Paths of Empathy is a projection mapping piece made by Xuan for the Digital Graffiti Festival 2022. Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, DG is an annual mapping festival that transforms the unique architecture of the Alys Beach neighborhood into an oasis of light. With music by ANTiCX Collective, the title refers to the creative process with which five members of the collective co-created the composition. Amongst upscale structures made of white exteriors, Xuan chose to project on an unfinished concrete building, the first time an artist as done so in the history of the festival.
